SCHOLARSHIPS AT POWER SCHOOL OF TECHNOLOGY:

A. Academic Scholarship Award

1. Entrance Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to newly graduated valedictorian, salutatorian or with honorable mention from any recognized high school in the Philippines, public or private.

Requirements:

• High school Card/Transcript (photocopies accepted)

• Certification and/or recommendations from the principal, class adviser, and/or guidance counselor

• Filipino citizen • Completed Application Form

• Have passed the interview Requirements will be submitted to the Registrar’s office and will certify the submitted documents for evaluation and approval of the scholarship committee. The tuition fee discounts given to an Entrance Scholarship Awardees on the first semester of enrollment are:

• Valedictorian - 100% Discount on Tuition and Fees

• Salutatorian - 70% Discount on Tuition Fee

• Honorable Mention - 40% Discount on Tuition Fee 2. Academic Performance Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to entrance scholarship awardees after their first term, if they maintain a General Weighted Average of 1.75 or higher. They will continue to enjoy the scholarship on term basis provided they maintain the required General Weighted Average. Any lost scholarship cannot be renewed even if they obtain the required GWA on the succeeding semesters. Discounts on Tuition fee for the succeeding regular semesters enrolled depends on the GWA of the immediately past semester.

• 1.25-1.00 - 100% • 1.50-1.26 - 50% • 1.75-1.50 - 25%

2. Grant-in-Aids This scholarship is awarded to financially needy student who has proven himself academically deserving.

Requirements: • High school Card/Transcript (photocopies accepted)

• Recommendations from the principal, class adviser, and/or guidance counselor

• Filipino Citizen

• Parents ITR (Previous Year)

• Completed Application Form

• Have passed the Scholarship Entrance Examination and interview GENERAL GUIDELINES: An applicant must pass two criteria: the scholarship examination and the interview to be administered by the Scholarship Evaluator. The results obtained from the scholarship examination and the interview will be combined in order to get their over-all rating. This rating will be included in the scholarship profile. The scholarship profile contains the over-all rating and the discount that the student can obtain. The tuition fee discount will be based on the over all rating. The following range will be applied to determine the discount:

• 75% - 80% - 25% discount • 81% - 85% - 50% discount • 86% - 90% - 75% discount • 91% - above - 100% discount Grants can be renewed if the following conditions will be satisfied

: • Have passed all academic subjects taken for the past semester

• Have good academic performance (no AWOL, not in the probationary status, no dismissal record)

• Have completed the application form for Scholarship Grant Renewal, with a photocopy of the grade report for the immediate past term. Based on the GWA obtained for the immediate past semester, discounts on the tuition fee for the succeeding enrolled semesters will be the following

: • 1.50-1.00 - 100% • 1.75-1.51 - 50% • 2.00-1.76 - 25%
